A graduate from the Universidad Católica Argentina, she has majored in business administration at European and American universities, dedicating her life to human resources issues.
Cristina has introduced the OUTPLACEMENT concept and technology in Latin America; she represents the Latin American chapter at the World Association of Career Management Professionals, and since 1994 she has been a member of the International Academy of the area.From that year on she's been an active member of the International Association of Corporate and Professional Recruiters, Inc., and the Society for Human Resource Management, among other international institutions for HR professionals.A mentor for companies and technological developments, she has made up a team currently providing Human Resources solutions for over 350 top-level companies.On a global level she is a member of the headhunter network EMA Partners International, and a correspondent for Right Management Consultants, a leading firm in support for business change and career transition.For the second time she has been appointed as a Member of the Board of Directors at the SHRM International Institute, with only 5 members throughout the world. This institution has published her report on Human Resources in Latin America.
Cristina Mejías is a frequent keynote speaker invited by national and international institutions, and a well-known exhibitor in Global Congresses. Examples are lectures for SHRM in Puerto Rico (March, 2002), and the 9th HR World Congress in Mexico (May, 2002).
Author of several best-selling books: EL SILLÓN VACÍO ("The Empty Chair"), revised in 2000 under the title LOS TALENTOS DEL SIGLO XXI ("Talents in the 21st Century"), published by Editorial Planeta); ENTRE UD. Y YO ("Between You and I", same publishing house), first self-help work on Personal Marketing issues, and CLAVES PARA BUSCADORES DE EMPLEO ("Tips for Job Hunters", Editorial Aguilar). She has also produced videos and audiocassettes of practical application for anyone who's looking for a job, both young executives and professionals. In 1999 she published LOS GERENTES DEL 2000 ("Managers 2000", Editorial Planeta), revised and expanded in 2001 with the title AUTOGERENCIE SU CARRERA ("Self-Manage Your Career"). Her latest work is currently in press: EMPLEABILIDAD ("Employability").
With a focus on the business community, she has published a great number of articles, white papers, and comprehensive literature, as well as the video CÓMO SE LO DIGO ("How Do I Drop the News"), practical training for a knotty subject: the termination interview.Her full operating technique has been published on the book LOS TALENTOS DEL SIGLO XXI, released by Editorial Planeta.
